Elderly Assistance Program
Community volunteers interested in lending a hand are encouraged to roll up their sleeves and join the City of Harlingen and show support from their organization.

Thank you for your support and community spirit! Gloves, safety vests, and trash bags will be supplied to all community volunteers.
Together we can make a difference!
- No experience necessary for City of Harlingen Clean-Up Events.
- Make a difference in your community.
- Counts towards Community Service Hours.
- Every 2nd weekend of the month (weather permitting)
- Staff and volunteers work together alongside residents by assisting them in cleaning up their district.
- Contact Office for Dates & Locations
- Staff and volunteers assist property owners unload trash/debris that is brought in to a designated trash drop-off site.
- Citizens can commit to cleaning an area of the city regularly.
Elderly Assistance Program
- Citizens assist in the one-time cleanup of an elderly/disabled resident's yard.
