The Code Compliance Department is responsible for enforcing many City Ordinances related but not limited to zoning violations, unsafe structures, signs, illegal dumping, weedy lots, on-street parking, and abandoned/junk vehicles.

Code Compliance helps in maintaining the quality of life for the residents of Harlingen. Code Compliance Officers assist property owners regarding code violations, and educates the public regarding the requirements of City Ordinances.
 
The staff at the Code Compliance Department is committed to these efforts.
