Harlingen, Texas–The Harlingen Public Library is celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with its annual festival, and everyone is invited. The festival will be held on October 8 from 2 - 4 p.m.
It will feature two folkloric dance performances by Bravo Arts and Tesoros de Mexico along with live music by folk music Group AmericCanto and the artwork of several craft groups. Those who attend will also learn about local resources and receive home craft kits, and goodie bags.Throughout the week leading up to the festival, the library will host themed programs in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month as listed below.
Additionally, all ages are welcome to participate in the Virtual Art Show. Participants are asked to submit a photo (1,000X1,000-pixel size recommended) of their work created in any medium, by Tuesday, October 4 at 8 p.m. to email@example.com.
Entries must be suitable for a family show and one piece per participant. All participants will be entered into a raffle for a chance to win new art supplies. For more information visit https://harlingelibrary.org or stop by 410 ’76 Drive.
