Facility Rentals
Public BuildingsThe City's Public Buildings Department is responsible for the maintenance of 48 City-owned buildings/structures. Action plans are developed to address potential equipment failures and deficiencies. Additionally, technical and custodial services are also provided to all city-related functions and groups, such as: Recreational Department events, Harlingen Area Chamber of Commerce, Harlingen Downtown Improvement District, RioFest, Christmas Lighting, Harlingen Proud and ground-breaking ceremonies. Operations also include plumbing installation and repairs, electrical installation and repairs, computer line installation, construction of office furniture and remodeling of City structures. Personnel and facilities are also provided during emergencies in the event of a disaster. The department also provides assistance to anyone interested in renting one of our available city owned rental facilities.
